Delivering someone's eulogy is both a special honor and a heavy responsibility. It is through these words that many people seek comfort in dealing with the death of a loved one. Writing a touching funeral tribute speech is mostly a matter of observing a few general tips.

Eulogies are most effective when given by someone who knew the deceased on a level most others did not. Usually, a single individual is asked to perform this task, though it is perfectly acceptable if the family wishes to have several eulogists. There are two main reasons why eulogies are given at funerals.
