The number of people who are being cremated is on the rise. Most religions allow for this method of interment. However, if you are not sure it is best to consult your religious leader. Cremation services are considered to be less costly in comparison to traditional funerals. It is also a preferred method by individuals who are into environmental conservation.

If you know that your loved one wanted to be cremated, get in touch with the funeral director of a crematorium. They will guide you on how to go about the whole process. Some legal documents will be required before the exercise can be approved. This includes an approval letter from the local authorities.

You can opt to have a funeral service or not. If you choose to have a service, you can have it before the body is cremated or afterwards. If the service is held afterwards, you can have the urn holding the ashes placed in a prominent place, where people can view it and have a photo of your loved one placed beside it.

The service can be a religious one or non-religious. You can organize for the service to be held in a separate place, like a mosque or church and then have the body interred in a different place, in the crematorium. The body of the deceased can be placed in a coffin for viewing.
