The number of people who are being cremated is on the rise. Most religions allow for this method of interment. However, if you are not sure it is best to consult your religious leader. Cremation services are considered to be less costly in comparison to traditional funerals. It is also a preferred method by individuals who are into environmental conservation.

You will have to contact a crematorium and organize for the service. The funeral director will help you fill out all the required documentation. You may also have to apply to the local authorities to be given the permission to cremate the remains of your loved one.

You have a choice on whether to conduct a memorial service or not. For individuals who want a memorial service, the service can be held shortly before the body has been interred. In other circumstances, the service can be carried out after the body has been cremated. The ashes of the individual can be placed in an urn and displayed at the service.

The service can be a religious one or non-religious. You can organize for the service to be held in a separate place, like a mosque or church and then have the body interred in a different place, in the crematorium. The body of the deceased can be placed in a coffin for viewing.
