The tie selected needs to be conservative with jewelry limited to a watch and wedding band. During the colder months, the addition of a dark trench coat is appropriate.
In most cases, younger children should be left with a sitter unless the service is for an immediate family member. Older children and teens should follow the dress of their parent of the same sex. Preteen boys may attend with a white shirt and tie.
Be sure to bring an umbrella if the service is scheduled out of doors. It is much more comfortable if you are dry. Place an extra handkerchief in your pocket for the day.
