Funeral Program Has Benefits

A memorial service is a chance for relatives, associates and friends to say a final farewell to one who has passed away. A lot of different influences can affect the way these events may flow. Having a funeral program printed and passed out will help all attendees understand and follow the proceedings.

Some choose to use a single panel design, while others find it best to print booklets. Either way, the handout should clearly present the deceased's complete given name as well as the days on which they were born and died. The place and time the services are to be held, and the honoree's photo are also placed on the front cover.

The inside of the document will provide the order of proceedings from start to finish. Each song that is played, passage or poem that is read, should also have their author identified along with the name of who will be presenting them. Sometimes the family chooses to include a copy of the obituary so that all interested guests will have a copy.
