Such a list will usually include a series of things that will have to be taken care of before the ceremony can be held. This way, things can proceed in an organized fashion.

In most cases, flowers will have to be brought in and set up near the casket. If there is enough time, organizers will generally want to contract with one of the very best florists in the region. Florists can then go ahead and select flower varieties that will continue to look vibrant after several hours in a hot room.

If the death itself has been sudden, loved ones will likely be racing to find a home as fast as they can. By asking other members, they can track down a facility that will serve them well. Most facilities will have large interior rooms where the wake can be held.

Formal clothing should always be worn to such an event. If people have only informal articles of clothing available, they may need to shop at one of the local stores beforehand.
