Basics To Know When Choosing Verses For Funeral Cards

Loss of loved ones is a difficult time in any person's life. No matter if the death is expected or not, the pain is enormous for most individuals. Most people want to offer their condolences as well as a shoulder to cry on, but are unsure of the right words to say. It does not matter if the deceased was elderly or very ill, or young and suffered an accident, the bottom line is the same, people are in pain and we want to comfort them. The wealth of available verses for funeral cards can make this easier.

It is generally not helpful to tell a mourning loved one that their friend or relative is in a better place now. We must keep in mind that not all have the same belief system. Not all people believe death is "a better place". It is better to steer clear of this sort of statement. The most important thing to do is let these individuals know that you understand their pain and share their sorrow.

For those with religious faith there are many bible verses that are perfect for funeral cards. All of these scriptures point to the hope of a new life after this one. Some of these scriptures include the promise of all tears being dried, and death and dying being done away with forever. Others promise the restoration of our loved ones. These are certainly words of comfort for such difficult times.

Many famous quotes that are not religiously affiliated can also bring comfort. Hans Christian Anderson, Robert Louis Stevenson, and even Theodor Geisel (Dr, Seuss) have quotes that are appropriate for people in mourning.

Special words for firemen, masons, nurses, doctors, for specific heritage, and much more can be personalized according to the needs of those mourning. Making it personal can be very good for those in pain. They will find comfort in the appreciation of their lost loved one's life work or passion.

Always remember, the purpose of cards for funerals is to bring comfort to those in mourning. The most important thing to convey is that we care, we understand, and we are available if and when we are needed.
