When the animal dies, you should find out if the company will pick up its remains. In most cases, the companies pick up animals from animal hospitals. However, if the animal dies at home, you can call the staff of the company to find out if they can pick it up from your house. Most companies operate throughout the day and night throughout the year.

Know how the animal will be transported to the facility. This includes the type of vehicle used and what it will be wrapped in during transportation. The animal can be wrapped in a soft blanket or piece of cloth.

Know how the funeral or cremation exercise will be carried out. You can have the animal buried in an individual or mass grave. If you want to have the remains of the animal returned to you, then an individual cremation is best. If you do not want the remains then opt for a mass cremation.

You can come up with creative ways to remember the animal. You can request the facility to give you a part of the animal, so that you can keep it as a souvenir. This may include the skin or any other part of the body.

The costs charged by a funeral home varies. This largely depends on which services you want, the animal that you are having interred and which disposal method you go for. Ask the company if there are any other extra charges that you may have to foot.
