Find out if the company provides pick up services for the dead animals. The company may pick up the animal from your home or from a veterinary. Some companies have scheduled times for picking up dead animals from certain animal clinics. The company may be available to pick up the animal even at night or during holidays, but you may have to pay a bit more for this.

Think about how the animal will be taken to the facility. In most instances, the company will provide a cloth, which can be used to wrap the dead animal during transportation. You can also provide a soft fabric for wrapping the animal.

Choose the disposal method that you want. A cremation or burial can be done. A burial is appropriate if you cannot stand the thought of having the remains of the animal burned. You can request to have the ashes of the animal sent back to you, if you opt for a cremation.

You can come up with creative ways to remember the animal. You can request the facility to give you a part of the animal, so that you can keep it as a souvenir. This may include the skin or any other part of the body.
