Flowers For Funeral And Specific Species And What They Represent

If someone close to you has died, you might want to bring flowers for funeral. There are several kinds of blooms that you can offer at the memorial service. It is important to know which species are considered acceptable in this type of situation. Pick blossoms that are appropriate and symbolic for the occasion.

The Lily is a traditional blossom that is often seen at memorial services. The blossoms in white signify innocence returned to the soul of the person who has passed away. This bloom is a symbol of majesty, pride and purity. The stargazer specie is particularly appropriate since it stands for sympathy and grief.

The Gladioli has a tall 4 foot stem with multiple blooms. This specie is usually arranged as fan sprays in memorial services. They look elegant and are classic blossoms that honor the dead. This specie symbolizes sincerity, strength, and integrity. You can get them in green, orange, peach, yellow, red, pink, white, and purple.

Chrysanthemums are also common blooms uses for services especially in Spain, Italy, France, Poland, Croatia, and Hungary where the blossom symbolizes death. In Japan, China and Korea, the white varieties represent grief. They are not often used in memorials in the US with the exception of New Orleans because they symbolize joy in America.

Carnations are great choices for long interments since they last long. They are fragrant and are common picks to show sympathy. The colors of the blossoms also have special meanings. Red carnations represent admiration; pink blooms symbolize remembrance, and the white ones stand for innocence and a wholesome kind of love.

Roses can also be given as flowers for funeral. Red ones represent respect, courage, and love. Pink roses symbolize love and grace, while yellow ones are given by friends of the deceased. Dark crimson signify sorrow and grief. A single rose denotes undying love to the departed which is usually given by someone who is special to the dead.
