Basics You Should Know When Picking Funeral Prayer Cards

When you find out that someone you know is grieving from a death in the family, your first reaction would probably to offer help. It is also normal to offer some kind of token to express your sympathy. Most people give flower baskets but you can also send funeral prayer cards instead.

Offering prayers is a good choice if the bereaved family is religious. You can also present other things like a memorial tree. This is an unusual choice but is a memorable one. The family can plant your offering at home or at the gravesite to serve as a lifelong memorial to the dead.

You can also have your words of sympathy etched onto a slab of stone. This is an unconventional offering but a nice one. It can be placed at the gravesite or in the family's garden as a life-long memorial for their loved one. Make sure that your quotation is a pleasant one that brings to mind happy memories of deceased.

You might want to create a photo album of the person who died and offer that to the family. Choose images that the deceased relatives have no copies of. At a time like this, those left behind often look for memorabilia of their loved one and a nice collection of pictures would be appreciated.

Bringing beverages and food is a thoughtful token of support. You can bring over a tray of non-perishable foodstuff that can be served to guests. Make sure that you choose items that will not spoil quickly and will preferably last till the entombment.

It is a nice gesture to give prayer cards during the wake or after the burial. You can offer a card with a bouquet of flowers. Present it in a pretty leatherette folder or in a picture frame with a stand.
